Aph·ro·dis·i·ac (af´ re dee´ zee ak´), -n. A drug or food that stimulates sexual desire.

Food and sex have been linked for centuries. It seems that almost every food from apples to zucchini was considered to be an aphrodisiac by one culture or another at some point in time. Food and sex are intimately entwined. Both ensure the survival of the human race. A good meal enhances love making and amour can make even a mundane meal taste divine.

Almost any food can ignite passion if it's prepared and eaten with love in mind. (See the movie Like Water for Chocolate) Here's a list from across the globe of foods that have a reputation to ignite love and lust.

P.S. Don't have a lover to share that midnight snack with? Get to the supermarket. It's a great place to meet that special someone. That's where we met!
